The shuttle bus between train station and hotel is a bonus, even though the hotel is only a short distance away. Room was clean and spacious and overlooked the lake which was fantastic. Breakfast was buffet style and variety was good. We enjoyed dinner at both the Italian and Teppanyaki restaurant. The onsen at night is spectacular overlooking the lake. We did not get the opportunity to explore the town in detail, as we spent a whole day at Biwako Valley. and would recommend a stay longer than the 2 nights we were there. The ferry ride around the lake is a must if you have a spare hour and my wife recommends the gift shop.

The location is good, next to the lake. We drove there and the parking was spacious. The public bath area was good and very clean, but there were many people after dinner. The hotel provides shuttle bus to the train station, although we didn't use it. There was a mistake during the parking that even though the ticket was scanned at the front desk, the machine charged us for the parking. The reception was really helpful and reimburse the expense by cash right away. Thank you very much.

Amazing, so amazing! The hotel looks like a 5* hotel, and feels like one. The interior is so fancy, I should have booked it for longer duration, considering how easy it is to reach Kyoto from here. It is double the price of a hotel from Kyoto, but the facilities make up for it. I had the Superior Twin Room - Non-Smoking and the view was amazing and I was lucky enough to catch the fountain show at the docks, which can be viewed clearly from the balcony.

A beautiful location for a simply gorgeous hotel. The room was lovely with a fantastic view of the lake, the breakfasts were well rounded choices and delicious, and most of all the staff were always helpful. I highly recommend staying here if you want to explore around Kyoto and Lake Biwa, and then have a great place to relax after a busy day, or to take a break and some time to simply relax

Biggest room I've ever stayed in Japan! Bright and cheerful with a nice balcony that overlooks the lake. There were 3 of us in one room but there was still plenty of space. The good quality coffee and tea provided in the room are great touches. Love the breakfast too - there's plenty of choices and they all taste good. Would love to stay there again.
